Does your thesis need strengthening? Having trouble starting on a research project? Need to polish an essay? The Writing Center is here to help!
About the Writing Center
The Writing Center, located on the second floor of the Diane M. Halle Library (LIB 204), consists of 10 dedicated professional tutors from a variety of backgrounds and over 20 peer tutors with a range of majors to assist all students. Certified by the College Reading and Learning Association, the Writing Center provides individual and group writing support for all members of the Endicott community – students, faculty, and staff alike. Through collaborative face-to-face or online sessions, we encourage you to identify your strengths and weaknesses and understand how and why changes can improve your work.
Tutors do not edit or proofread work; instead, we are committed to helping you maximize your written communication skills at all stages of the writing process, from brainstorming and outlining to revising and presenting.
Hours of Operation
We welcome visits or walk-in tutoring requests during the Center's open hours—and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Sunday: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Google Meet Instructions
We will be using Google Meet to conduct remote tutoring sessions. The decision to use Google Meet was made to continue offering you a face-to-face experience. Instructions on how to use Google Meet can be downloaded by clicking here. We also created a video tutorial, which can be seen here.
Schedule an Appointment
Appointments are free and available to all Endicott students. We encourage you to make an appointment through our online scheduling system. If you have any difficulty scheduling an appointment, please call 978-232-2490, 978-232-2283, or email email@example.com.
In the Writing Center, all Endicott students may make up to 3 appointments in 1 week. However, students may not make more than 1 appointment with the same consultant in the same day.
In order to serve as many students as possible, we request tutees cancel any appointments they cannot make immediately. To cancel an appointment, please utilize tutortrac.endicott.edu and/or call 978-232-2490 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Recurring Appointment Policy
If a student schedules recurring appointments and misses the first tutoring session, all remaining appointments will be cancelled. If a student misses and/or cancels 2 tutoring sessions throughout the semester, all remaining appointments will be cancelled.
