About the Writing Center

The Writing Center, located in the Diane M. Halle Library, has dedicated professional and peer tutors from a variety of fields to assist our students.  Certified by the College Reading and Learning Association, the Writing Center provides individual and group writing support for all members of the Endicott community – students, faculty, and staff alike.

Through collaborative face-to-face or online tutoring sessions, we encourage you to identify your strengths and weaknesses and understand how and why changes can improve your work.

Most importantly, our tutors will not edit or do your work; rather, we are committed to helping you maximize your written communication skills at all stages of the composing process.

Hours of Operation

We welcome visits or walk-in tutoring requests during the Center's open hours—and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Sunday: 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Saturday: Closed

Schedule an Appointment

For individual help on an immediate project or assignment, we encourage you to make an appointment through our online scheduling system. Note: Walk-ins will be accommodated if tutors are available. If you are interested in general writing skills coaching, consider joining one of our workshops or group sessions.

Cancellation and Late Policy

So that we can accommodate as many students as possible, we ask that you cancel any appointments you will be unable to make via TutorTrac. Students who fail to show up for two or more appointments will be removed from the online system and will forfeit their ability to make appointments for the rest of the semester. They may still use the Writing Center on a walk-in basis. Students who arrive more than 10 minutes late to a conference may forfeit that time slot and any subsequent appointments that day, if others are waiting.
