Policies

Appointment Policies

Students can sign up for five tutoring sessions per week with the Tutoring and Writing Center; these can be weekly or single sessions. However, students cannot sign up for more than three sessions per week for the same course or with the same tutor. Also, students may not make more than one appointment with the same tutor on the same day. This policy allows students to use strategies and insight gained in between sessions. It also enables other Endicott students to use our services. For more opportunities to connect with tutors and peer learners, students can learn about our community learning spaces.

Students can meet with tutors in 25 or 50 minute tutoring sessions. While TutorTrac lists appointments in half hour and hour increments, time is leftover at the end of all sessions to allow the tutor the time to wrap up the session, complete the notes, and take a brief break.

Cancellation Policy

In order to serve as many students as possible, we request students cancel any appointments they cannot make immediately. To cancel an appointment, please use tutortrac.endicott.edu, call 978-998-7735, or email tutor@endicott.edu.

For students who schedule and miss more than two back-to-back weekly tutoring sessions back-to-back, we reserve the right to cancel all remaining sessions. We will notify students about doing so and encourage them to reschedule at a time that works best for them.

Health & Safety Policy

The Tutoring and Writing Center seeks to help maintain the health and safety of all community members. If you have any sick symptoms at all, please change your session to take place remotely. What seems mild can still infect others.

We reserve the right to ask students to wear a mask if they enter the Tutoring and Writing Center with symptoms of an illness.

Code of Conduct Policy

We strive to make our space inclusive, comfortable, and fulfilling for all so that we can strengthen Endicott’s learning community. To do so, we expect all students who enter the Tutoring and Writing Center to adhere to the Endicott College Student Code of Conduct
