It’s no secret that choosing a college is a massive decision. There are a myriad of factors to consider: is the location right? Are there financial aid opportunities available? What is student life like? What clubs are available to join? Oh right, and on top of all that you also need to choose your major.

Enter Academic Focus Days at Endicott College. Academic Focus Days is a multi-day event in February that gives senior applicants and their families the opportunity to explore their academic options at the College. In order to give each school and discipline the attention they deserve; the events will be spread out over three days. Tuesday, February 18, will feature the School of Nursing and School of Sport Science and Fitness Studies; Wednesday, February 19, will focus on the School of Business, School of Communication, and School of Hospitality Management; and finally students interested in the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, or School of Visual and Performing Arts should register for Friday, February 21.

Each of the three days kicks off with a welcome address from Endicott’s President, Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D., Vice President of Admission & Financial Aid, Evan Lipp, and Associate Professor of English, Samuel Alexander. After that, students and their families will break into groups based on their focus to meet the deans from their school of interest.

After the morning meetings, students will head out on their own to learn more about their potential school and career paths based on their program of interest. While that’s happening, parents will have the opportunity to participate in their own information sessions. Dean of Financial Aid, Marcia Toomey, and Vice President of Student Affairs & Dean of Students, Brandi Johnson, will both be leading workshops and answering all questions about their respective departments.

After the morning events, students will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers in the Callahan Center for lunch. After lunch, students will want to stick around to learn more about Endicott’s groundbreaking internship and career programs for their field of study.

In addition to the scheduled programming, there will be plenty to check out on campus all day. Tours will run throughout the day, giving everyone the opportunity to explore our beautiful, oceanfront campus—a backdrop to the Endicott experience.

Attendees certainly won’t want to miss the exhibits currently on display at the Walter J. Manninen Center for the Arts. The Bookstore will also be open so you can show your spirit by getting decked out in some all new Gull gear. Have more questions? Admission & Financial Aid staff will be available in College Hall to help you through the process.
