Endicott College has climbed 19 spots to No. 19 among Regional Universities North in the 2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, the best ranking the College has ever achieved with the U.S. News & World Report.
The results represent substantial year-over-year reputational gains for Endicott, which ranked No. 38 overall among Regional Universities North in the 2026 rankings.
Endicott also continued to earn national recognition for experiential learning, the defining element of its educational model, by moving up one spot to No. 16 nationally for Co-ops/Internships. At its founding, Endicott pioneered the required internship model and has long emphasized connecting classroom learning with professional experience.
“This recognition reflects the momentum that Endicott has demonstrated since its founding in 1939,” said President Bryan Cain, Ph.D. “We’ve never been interested in standing still. Higher education is changing quickly, and our responsibility has always been to keep evolving with it while holding tightly to what has always distinguished an Endicott education: exceptional teaching and, through the Endicott Experiential Edge, learning that connects directly to the world beyond the classroom.”
The College also rose to No. 5 among Most Innovative Schools in the North, up three spots from last year, and made a significant leap in Best Undergraduate Teaching, moving from No. 11 to No. 2.
The innovation ranking comes as Endicott continues to invest in new academic programs and approaches designed around a rapidly changing workforce. Among them is the College’s new B.S. in Artificial Intelligence & Analytics Management, launching in fall 2027, which will prepare students to evaluate, deploy, and manage AI technologies in real-world organizations.
“At Endicott, innovation isn’t about chasing the latest trend,” Cain added. “It’s about asking what our students will need five, 10, and 20 years from now and having the courage and resources to build toward that future today. To see Endicott recognized both for innovation and for the quality of our undergraduate teaching is especially meaningful, because we believe those two things should go hand in hand.”
