Alongside gaining real-world experience off campus through internships, study abroad, and community engagement, Endicott Gulls also step into cutting-edge professional environments without ever leaving Beverly. Endicott’s Experiential Spaces and Learning Labs are cornerstones of the College’s Experiential Edge, offering Gulls the chance to learn by doing in spaces that mirror the workplaces of today—and tomorrow.

Nowhere is that more evident than in the Endicott Hospital, located inside the new Cummings School of Nursing & Health Sciences. This state-of-the-art facility replicates a fully functioning hospital, complete with simulation labs, real equipment, and lifelife mannequins. Students practice responding to emergencies, administering care, and communicating as a team in an environment designed to feel real. The result: when they move on to clinical placements or enter the workforce, the transition is seamless.

Walking through Lower Callahan, students encounter the vibrant Esports Lab, buzzing with competition in Fortnite, Super Smash Brothers, and Overwatch. But the lab is more than a place to play. “Gaming is a positive reinforcement of technology in a world increasingly driven by data-backed decisions,” said Esports Coordinator Brendan Hall. “They’re building critical entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills that will set them up as professionals in esports and beyond.”

Endicott has also become a leader in cybersecurity education. In the Cybercrime Forensics Lab, students partner with law enforcement to analyze digital evidence and investigate emerging threats. “Our students need a fundamental understanding of the risk and danger of cybersecurity threats,” said Kyunseok “KC” Choo, Associate Dean and Director of Endicott’s graduate homeland security program.

From La Chanterelle, a student-run restaurant that doubles as a nontraditional business management classroom, to media production studios and a marketing and neuroscience lab, Endicott offers hands-on opportunities that prepare students for careers while they’re still in college.

"These learning labs aren’t just classrooms—they’re launchpads. They give students the confidence, technical fluency, and entrepreneurial mindset they need to step directly into high-impact careers. When education mirrors industry this closely, the leap from simulation to success becomes a seamless next step."
