Dr. Edward Martin is an Early American historian whose research focuses on maritime history and cross border issues with Canada. Dr. Martin wrote his dissertation on privateering in New England and the Maritime Provinces during the American Revolution and the War of 1812 at the University of Maine titled The Prize Game in the Borderlands: Privateering in New England and the Maritime Provinces, 1775-1815.
