Applied Behavior Analysis (Ph.D.): Organizational Behavior Science Track
Program Overview
Where the science of behavior meets business.
What drives people to make decisions? How can organizations improve performance, strengthen leadership, and create safer, more effective workplaces? The answers begin with understanding human behavior.
Endicott College's Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis with a track in Organizational Behavior Science bridges behavioral science and business practice. Designed for behavior analysts seeking to expand their expertise beyond traditional clinical settings, as well as for professionals in operations, human resources, and workplace safety, this doctoral program explores how the principles of behavior analysis can address real-world organizational challenges.
Through coursework in business ethics, technology, financial strategy, data analytics, and behavioral economics, students gain a deeper understanding of how people, systems, and organizations function. Learn to apply evidence-based approaches to improve employee performance, inform business decisions, strengthen organizational systems, and lead change.
Delivered entirely online through live, synchronous classes, the 60-credit program is designed for professionals who want to advance their education while continuing their careers. Students also gain hands-on experience through a mentored organizational project, doctoral immersions, and original dissertation research.

Organizational Careers for Behavior Analysts Are Growing
The behavior analysis workforce is rapidly growing given the expanding value of behavior-analytic application across industries. Organizations in every industry need people who can change what employees do at work and show the results in data. The Organizational Behavior Science Track prepares behavior analysts to lead that work in business settings.
-
Contributing Factors
As of July 2026, there were 85,587 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), an 85% increase since 2020. Most of that workforce grew out of clinical services funded by insurance. Many experienced BCBAs now run operations, regional teams or entire companies. They are doing human resources, finance and operations work they were never trained for.
Organizations need that expertise too. U.S. organizations spent $102.8 billion on training in 2025. Work injuries cost the U.S. economy $176.5 billion in 2023. Both are behavior change problems.
-
Increased Demand
Business is the fastest-growing field in U.S. doctoral education. Most of that growth is in practitioner doctorates for working professionals.
The careers these graduates are prepared for are growing as well. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 9% growth for management analysts through 2034, with about 98,100 openings each year.
-
Potential Careers
Behavior analysts who complete the track are prepared to:
- Lead behavior-based safety programs in manufacturing, mining, energy, construction and other high-risk industries
- Direct training and development systems that make new skills last on the job
- Build and grow companies in and outside of clinical services
- Run operations, human resources and people functions in behavior-analytic organizations
- Consult with organizations on performance, leadership and coaching systems
- Lead performance improvement as an internal behavioral systems analyst
-
Where Graduates Work
The program is fully online, so you can apply what you learn wherever you live and work. Behavior science applies anywhere people work. Graduates can bring it to manufacturing, clinics, mining, energy, maritime, construction, healthcare and countless other industries globally.
