Endicott College President Bryan Cain, Ph.D., has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the New England Council, one of the region’s leading organizations representing employers, institutions, and nonprofits from across the six New England states.

The appointment places Endicott at the center of regional conversations about workforce development, economic growth, innovation, and public policy. As one of New England’s largest economic sectors, higher education plays a critical role in preparing the next generation of talent, and Endicott has long distinguished itself through its experiential learning model, which connects students directly with employers through required internships and hands-on professional experiences.

“New England’s future depends on strong partnerships between higher education and industry,” said President Cain. “At Endicott, we see that connection every day through our internship program and the thousands of employer partners who help prepare our students for meaningful careers. I’m honored to join the New England Council’s Board of Directors and contribute to conversations about workforce development, innovation, and the economic vitality of our region.”

Members of the New England Council represent a wide range of industries, including energy, financial services, healthcare, higher education, technology, telecommunications, and transportation. Founded in 1925, the Council works to identify and support federal public policies and advocate on behalf of New England’s business and institutional community at both the regional and national levels.
