Endicott College announces that Tom Kushner, Dean of the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business, will conclude his tenure at the end of the academic year as he begins a well-earned retirement focused on spending more time with family.
Dean Kushner joined Endicott College in September 2022 and has provided thoughtful and energetic leadership to the School during a period of meaningful growth and innovation. Under his leadership, the Gerrish School of Business has flourished, including:
- The creation of a new FactSet Lab, complete with a live stock ticker, providing finance students with hands-on experience using the same market analytics tools employed by industry professionals.
- The launch of MINT (Marketing Insights from Neuroscience & Technology), an innovative initiative supporting faculty research and giving students the opportunity to measure neurological responses—such as eye tracking and facial expression analysis—to better understand the impact of marketing and messaging.
- An expanded international partnership and student pipeline with Munster Technological University in Cork and its Rubicon business incubator, forging a connection with Endicott’s Angel Center for Entrepreneurship and creating new opportunities for student collaboration and innovation.
- Growth in business students studying and interning abroad, further expanding their cultural competencies and global perspectives in an increasingly interconnected economy.
- The introduction of several speaker and event series bringing accomplished industry leaders to campus, including Mark Silverman and Juju Chang, helping to connect classroom learning with practical, real-world insights.
Beyond these initiatives, Dean Kushner fostered a strong sense of community and collaboration within the School. He launched the weekly GSB Edge newsletter to keep faculty and staff informed about developments within the School and across campus, championed the adoption of the Quinncia AI-powered career readiness platform, and expanded the School’s network of adjunct faculty through connections in his professional network.
Throughout his time at Endicott, Dean Kushner has been a collaborative and student-centered leader, deeply committed to advancing the School’s mission and preparing students for success in the modern business world. He also brought a distinctive sense of personality to campus life—his signature seersucker suits and fedora becoming a familiar and welcome sight across the Nest.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Tom for his contributions to the Endicott community and wish him and his family all the best in this next chapter.
A national search for the next Dean of the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business is now underway.
