It’s arguably the one “holiday” at the Nest when it’s encouraged to go, well, a little over the top.
This Wednesday, March 4, is Endicott’s 8th annual Giving Day, and there are just 24 hours to make an impact, break records, and release your inner Gull by rallying behind the people, programs, and experiences that make Endicott College truly transformational.
The entire campus will turn into a celebration of what it means to be a Gull, with activities throughout the day and plenty of opportunities to compete for glory in both trivia and athletic battles.
“Giving Day provides a fun, exciting, and meaningful outlet for everyone who really loves and values Endicott to put that enthusiasm to work in ways that make a tangible difference,” said Pat Hewett, Vice President of Institutional Advancement. “If you advocate for and support a team, that team will have resources to be more competitive. If you support student success, more students will have access to coaching and learning resources. If you support your school or department, your Dean can say “yes” more often when they receive a request from faculty or students to attend a conference, purchase a subscription, or pursue a research project. Please give, encourage others to give, and help Endicott soar higher.”
Step into the action at Giving Day Headquarters in Lower Callahan from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Student Giving Day donors can receive a Giving Day t-shirt, enjoy complimentary Crumbl Cookies, enter the parking pass raffle, and pick up exclusive Giving Day swag. From 10–11 a.m., you can also take a coveted photo with Gary.
Every Giving Day gift—no matter the size—helps power the experiences that define an Endicott education: scholarships, academic innovation, student life, athletics, experiential learning, and the everyday moments that make the Nest feel like home.
And this year, your impact will be amplified by more than $350,000 in challenge funds. Sponsored by Trustees Melissa Hempstead ’69, Sheila Walsh, Trustee, and Ravi Vig, the Big Giving Day Challenge has the potential to unlock an additional $65,000 in support to athletics and recreation, student life, and academics through community participation. There’s also the Forever a Gull Challenge, sponsored by Alumni Council President and Trustee Jeff Scola ’10 and Trustee Jim Demers, that will show us which athletic team has the most passionate fans—during the Forever a Gull challenge, our teams will go head-to-head in a friendly Giving Day competition fueled by alumni participation.
At the heart of Giving Day is one simple idea: when Gulls come together, powerful things happen.
