School is back in session. Whether you’re a first-year or a returning student, we’ve rounded up the can’t-miss activities and events during your first week on campus.

Wednesday, August 31

Kick things off with a visit to the Welcome Table by the lakes (rain location is Lower Callahan), from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. There’ll be refreshments and giveaways—plus, meet the Office of Student Engagement team.

Thursday, September 1

Looking to give back? It’s part of what being a Gull is all about, and the Community Service Expo in Lower Callahan will highlight the benefits of volunteering and ways to get involved. From 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Gulls are invited to grab a passport and tour nonprofit tables (all while vying for a chance to win a Yogibo Mini!).

Then, join the Campus Activities Board from 5–7 p.m. at Hempstead Stadium and cheer on the Gulls at the Blue and Green Bash with food trucks, giveaways, a dunk tank, and more! Afterward, stay and watch the men’s soccer team take on Norwich, or head to MacDonald Gymnasium for women’s volleyball versus Worcester Polytechnic Institute, both at 7 p.m.

Friday, September 2

Students eligible for the Federal Work-Study Program are invited to a Student Employment Job Fair from noon–2 p.m. in Lower Callahan. It’s a great opportunity to meet with supervisors from all over the College and find a great place to work on campus.

Get cozy later when you gather ’round the campus lakes for an outdoor screening of Jurassic World under the stars. 8:30–10:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 3

Do you have what it takes to be the Cake Boss? Late Night LoCa invites you to join Student Engagement Ambassadors in designing your own cake in Lower Callahan from 9–11 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best and most creative creations!

Sunday, September 4

Donate a little time and creativity while meeting new friends and painting a bowl for the Open Door Food Pantry at 3 p.m. in Lower Callahan.

Then, banish the Sunday scaries at a lakeside bonfire. You’ll write down any anxieties you have for the summer and toss them into the fire while enjoying s’mores and some laughs. 7–9 p.m.

Monday, September 5

It’s Labor Day and also NestFest! Enjoy tasty treats from an ice cream truck, beach games, yard games, and more, at Birchmont and Mingo Beach. 12:30–3p.m.

Tuesday, September 6

Join the entire College community at MacDonald Gymnasium at 4 p.m. for Convocation—the official kick-off of the fall semester, followed by a Convocation BBQ/Homerun Derby in Lot 9 and the softball field. If you’re up for even more action later, there’s trivia at Gully’s, starting at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, September 7

Join more than 55 student organizations at the Field House for Endicott's Involvement Fair at 5:30 p.m. and learn what the College's clubs are about! Explore your interests, meet new people, and find out when organizations are holding their first meetings.
