BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College will host its annual Commencement ceremonies on Thursday, May 23, at 5 p.m. and on Saturday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m. The Thursday ceremony will mark the third standalone Commencement ceremony for students in Endicott’s Van Loan School of Graduate & Professional Studies, who will be receiving degrees from doctorate to master’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and associate degrees. The speaker at the ceremony will be Latoyia Edwards, Emmy Award-winning morning anchor of NBC10 Boston and host of This Is New England.

Traditional undergraduate students will cross the stage at the Saturday ceremony, where the speaker will be Garold C. Miller, chief executive officer of HALO. Edwards and Miller will receive honorary doctor of humane letters degrees at the ceremonies. In addition, Dr. Luke Reynolds, assistant professor of English and popular children’s book author, will be given Endicott’s Excellence in Teaching Award.

Both ceremonies will take place at Hempstead Stadium on the Endicott campus in Beverly, Mass.

Across both ceremonies, 1,135 students are set to graduate from Endicott’s Van Loan School of Graduate & Professional Studies and its traditional undergraduate college. Ten students will receive a Doctor of Educational Leadership or Doctor of Philosophy; 349 will receive a Master of Arts, Master of Education, Master of Science, Master of Business Administration, or Master of Fine Arts degree; 760 students will receive a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree; and 16 will receive Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degrees.

Of speakers Edwards and Miller, Dr. Kathleen Barnes, Endicott’s sixth president, says, “We welcome these two highly-accomplished professionals from the worlds of journalism and entrepreneurship to our commencement ceremonies. Each will provide valuable inspiration to this talented flock of graduating ‘Gulls’ as they leave the Endicott nest poised to harness their education to shape our world.”
