FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – With an array of international fine wines, local craft beers, and award-winning cheese served with artisan bread, tens of thousands of dollars will be raised at Endicott College School of Hospitality Management’s 10th annual Scholarship Wine, Cheese, & Beer Tasting. The event’s proceeds benefit a scholarship fund for Eta Sigma Delta, the national honors society for students studying hospitality management. More info is below:

10th Annual Hospitality Management Scholarship Wine, Cheese, & Beer Tasting
Friday, April 26, 2019; 5-7:30 p.m.
Misselwood Estate
407 Hale St.
Beverly, MA 01915

Tickets to the event are $25 in advance, or $30 at the door on a first-come, first-served basis (space is limited). The event will also include a silent auction with prizes such as hotel stays in Boston and Cape Cod, spa gift certificates, cruise tickets, Boston Red Sox tickets, and signed New England Patriots memorabilia.

True to Endicott’s experiential learning model, the entire event is planned and organized by students studying in Dr. Brendan Cronin’s Event Management course who will put their guest service skills into action following years of study and internship while enrolled in Endicott’s School of Hospitality Management. Cronin, an author and Swiss Master Chef, notes that his students “source donations from vendors, prepare the silent auction, compile the evening’s program, decorate the venue, and manage all of the event’s details.”

Invitees will be able to select their summer wines and enjoy local beer from vendors such as Channel Marker, a recently opened local brewery whose ownership trio includes Endicott alumni Jake Crandell and Justin Negrotti. This annual event was created by Endicott Hospitality Management honor students in 2009 “as a way to give back to their peers by raising scholarship funds while providing an enjoyable evening for attendees,” Cronin says.
