Why Workday?

WorkdayWorkday allows Endicott College to modernize our administrative and student information systems, and centralize them into a single integrated platform.  With Workday, our users will experience an intuitive, self-service and secure digital environment that allows for on-demand access, increased efficiency, less error, and greater access to data.

Without a doubt, this is a technological advancement for our college. More importantly, though, Workday allows Endicott to revisit our business processes with a look towards better equity and efficiency. We are focused on our people. Watch for information on things like traveling, purchasing, learning, and recruiting. Much more to come!

When will we implement Workday?

Endicott College began the Workday project in summer 2022. The first implementation phase is Workday Platform, which consists of financial management (FIN), payroll (PATT), and human capital management (HCM). As you can see from the proposed timeline, the target go-live date is summer 2023. Phase 1 launched on June 26, 2023.

Workday Platform Timeline

After Phase 1 completion, our focus will move to Phase 2, Workday Student, with a project startup in Summer 2023. The proposed time frame for Student is 24 months, with phased go-live dates between fall 2024 and fall 2025. Among the supported functions of this student information system (SIS) are course registration, advising, grading and student financials.

Who will use Workday?

On various levels, we will all use Workday. Among other tasks, employees will access payslips and tax documents, view compensation, request time off, and complete performance appraisals. Hourly employees will clock in and out using Workday. Managers will recruit for new positions and budget for their departments, too. Assigned Workday users will also request purchase orders and checks, approve invoices for payment, and process credit card transactions and expense reports.

When we implement Workday Student, students, faculty, and staff will access the software for functions like course registration, advising, grading, and student financials. Ultimately, Workday is a self-service, broad-based software system that will allow Endicott to attend to much of our business duties.
