While Endicott College makes every effort to continue normal operations, certain circumstances may require a delay or college closure due to inclement weather. Decisions are made with the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors as the top priority.
How the Endicott Community Will Be Notified
The primary and official source of information regarding weather-related delays or closures for the community is EC Alerts, Endicott College’s emergency notification system. EC Alerts deliver time-sensitive messages directly to the community through text message, email, and other supported notification methods.
In addition to EC Alerts, weather-related updates will also be communicated through the following channels:
- Campus email
- The Endicott.edu homepage
- Official Endicott College social media channels
- Local media outlets, including WBZ (Channel 4), WCVB (Channel 5), WHDH (Channel 7), and WFXT (Fox 25)
Community members are encouraged to monitor these platforms closely during inclement weather events, as conditions and operational decisions may change.
Academic Instruction and Campus Activities During a College Closure
In the event of a college closure, all in-person and synchronous online classes are cancelled. Asynchronous online courses may proceed as scheduled at the discretion of the instructor, and students should monitor course communications for guidance.
All on-campus events and activities will be cancelled or postponed, unless otherwise communicated through official Endicott College channels.
A Shared Responsibility
During severe or rapidly changing weather conditions, call volume to the Public Safety Department increases significantly. To help ensure Public Safety can respond to urgent needs, community members are asked to rely on EC Alerts and the communication channels listed above for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding delays or closures.
