Legally Blonde is rehearsing virtually this week! Our first challenge...make a costume 👗 👚 out of things in your closet! Here's Paulette (Mary Pfeifle 20'), who says, “Here’s my costume for Paulette! For accessories for her job, she’s got clips and bobby-pins on her shirt and a comb tucked into her bra ‘cause she’s ready for any hair emergency. For the setting she’s going to work (she’s cute, but still presentable for work) and of course she’s got her Dunkin’ mug to show she’s in Boston! The whole outfit represents her personality because it’s a little all over the place with color, and tacky, but in a cute way. If you notice the Ireland 🇮🇪 patch on the jean jacket, she got that at her first Saint Paddy’s Day Parade and wears it to every parade!” . . . #thisisendicott #endicottcollege #gogulls #endicottarts #legallyblondethemusical #legallyblonde #legallyblondemusical #mainstageproduction #collegetheater #collegelife #beverlyma #northshorema #collegebythesea #dramaclub
“In high school I didn’t take a single art class until my senior year of which happened to be photography. I then applied to Endicott and since then my art career has taken off! I have 3 semesters of ceramics,1 semester of painting, 2 semesters of drawing multimedia 1,2,3 and 3D under my belt outside of photo. . Endicott has turned me into the artist I am today and I wouldn’t give it up for the world! . The arts at endicott have shown me that I can do what I can’t. I am beyond thankful for the experience. 📸 @tom.tranfaglia Tom is a junior studying photography. . . #endicottarts #endicottcollege #gogulls #photographersofinstagram

In theatre we have a tradition- whenever the theatre is empty we are always sure to leave one light on. Typically on a stand in the center of the stage, this light is known as the ghost light. There are many stories about its origin- but it’s meaning is unmistakable. It means though the theatre is empty, WE WILL RETURN. So here’s to us. The actors, the technicians, the directors, the carpenters, the designers, the dancers, the teachers, the students, the freelancers, those on tour, those at sea, the electricians, the stitchers, the makers, the stage managers.... THE ARTISTS. Many of us have taken big hits during this virus. Financial and emotional weights have come crashing down as our entire industry is reduced to nothing but a bunch of ghost lights. But those ghost lights are temporary place holders. They are a sign. We might be down now- but our passion, our creativity, our drive is still center stage. We’ll be unplugging those ghost lights in no time. Until then- here’s a ghost light- to let the world know we will be back. ✍️/📸 : reposted with permission credit Dalen O’Connell, a freelance designer in Minneapolis
