Dan Frank is an Assistant Professor of Film & TV Production. He is a also a film and TV producer and director, having worked in multiple formats and genres. His work has screened theatrically, on PBS, Discovery, FOX, Amazon, HGTV, DIY, FX, TLC, NBC Universal, New England Sports Network, and more. His work on documentary films has been featured at a wide variety of film festivals including Big Sky, Slamdance, New Orleans Film Festival, and the Vancouver Asian Film Festival.
Dan is the co-founder and co-director of the Lowell Film Festival for Future Filmmakers, the largest student film festival in New England. The festival features short films created by high-school, college undergraduate and graduate students regionally and across the world.
He has also taught at Clark University and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where he was awarded a Teaching Award of Excellence in 2023.
Dan is the faculty advisor for ECTV.

Never Again Para Nadie
Co-Director and Co-Producer. Documentary short about an incident at a Rhode Island private prison that resulted in violence. Screened at the Woodstock Film Festival, Independent Film Festival Boston, New Hampshire Film Festival, and others. Boston – The Documentary
Coordinating Field Producer. Documentary about the Boston Marathon, filmed a year after the 2014 bombing. Theatrical Release in 2017. Streaming and TV release began in 2018.
