Over 35+ years in cybersecurity, Maria has been involved in securing the very first internet connections, responding to national security threats, and evolving the architecture and procedures for major global corporations. She has held security architecture roles at Zscaler, VMware, Illumio, Lookout, and Cisco, authoring many standards. Her teaching draws on real-world practice, giving students practical, industry-grounded insight into today's evolving security landscape.
