President’s Corner

President Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D., on Endicott’s next chapter.

Est. Read Time

Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D., PresidentSocrates once said that “the secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

That’s the spirit behind the big changes that Endicott is undergoing now. Inside this issue, you’ll read about a few of them, most notably, Spread Your Wings: The Campaign for Endicott College, our first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign designed to lay an impenetrable foundation for the College’s limitless future.

If you’ve been following Endicott’s trajectory for a while now, this campaign may come as no surprise to you—even during the pandemic Endicott flourished, and this fall we welcomed the largest incoming class yet to the Nest, just another sign of what’s in store for Endicott’s continuing evolution.

But a campaign is only as good as the participation it inspires. I invite you to learn more about our goals, the students who will benefit from the expansion of academic initiatives and internships, and the cutting-edge buildings that support collaboration and innovation at the highest levels.

As you read on, you’ll also learn more about the myriad ways Endicott students, faculty, and alumni are on the frontlines of changing the world—whether by reimagining hospitality in a post-pandemic landscape, embracing innovative and emerging industries like esports, or giving back by helping others and by exemplifying excellence in their fields.

You’ll also read stories about the people who have such strong convictions for Endicott’s mission and the passionate work of our Gulls that their generous support laid the groundwork for innovation and growth. Truly, so many alumni, faculty, students, friends, and community partners have worked to make this moment possible for Endicott College. It is an exciting time to be a Gull and we invite you to join us and help write this new chapter together.

Sincerely,
