In August, Marlin Nabors hit the ground running as the new Assistant Vice President & Dean of Students. As someone who strives for continuous improvement both personally and professionally, Nabors is already looking for ways to enhance the College experience for Gulls and make an impact on Endicott’s next chapter.

It's our responsibility as educators to be as nimble and creative as possible to keep providing an exceptional college experience.” —Marlin Nabors

How has your transition to Endicott College been?

Endicott is one of the most welcoming environments I have been a part of. Everyone has so much pride and affinity for the College and it’s quite infectious. One of the things that I’ve been most struck by is how everyone loves to tell the story of Endicott. An appreciation of the past with an eye toward the future really speaks to me as a professional. We have so much to be proud of as an institution and I’m looking forward to being a part of the next chapter.

What are your priorities for your first year in this role?

I’m hoping to showcase the hard work of the student affairs team while looking for new opportunities to collaborate and innovate together. Under the direction of Vice President Brandi Johnson, we’ll look for opportunities to create more seamless learning environments that combine traditional and experiential learning components. This will require us to be more clear about the specific learning outcomes we hope to achieve with students as part of their out-of-the classroom growth and development.

What would you like the Endicott community know about you?

I’m a big fan of continuous improvement. It’s our responsibility as educators to be as nimble and creative as possible to keep providing an exceptional college experience.
