What is Endicott College’s Giving Day?

Endicott’s Giving Day is a day-long campaign taking place on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.  Giving Day has become an annual tradition that has grown to symbolize our community’s spirit of generosity. Together, students, alumni, parents, faculty, and friends rally around our shared goals of increasing annual giving participation and strengthening our College.

This year’s Giving Day theme is Giving Today, Serving All Year. At Endicott, the spirit of service, generosity, and community make us who we are. Join us as we take the time to pay it forward and recognize those who inspire us to grow and serve all year.

What is a challenge?

A challenge gift is a donation that is contingent on a goal—whether that be the number of gifts received, individual donors, or the dollars raised. On this year's Giving Day, there are over thirty challenges.  If all challenges are met, over $200,000 in funding will be unlocked to support the College.

Why does the school I graduated from or the team I played for not have a challenge?

Giving Day 2022 marks the first year where a variety of challenges have been introduced to support specific areas of the College. The donors’ passions drove the creation of challenges.  If you or members of your Endicott College network have interest in setting a challenge for Giving Day 2023, please reach out to Lisa Kernan, Director, Multi-Channel Giving at lkernan@endicott.edu, to learn more.

Is there a minimum gift amount to count for a challenge?

No, there is no minimum donation amount. Every gift counts!

If I fall into multiple Endicott constituencies, will my gift count towards each of those participation percentages?

Yes, if you happen to have more than one role at Endicott, your participation will go even further. An alum who is also a parent will count in both the alumni and parent participation totals.  A faculty member who is also an alumnus will count in both the faculty and staff participation total and the alumni participation total!

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes, your gift is 100% tax deductible. Please retain the email gift confirmation you receive for your tax records.

Can I make a gift of stock on Giving Day?

Yes, if you are interested in donating a gift of stock on Giving Day, please contact Anthony Barbuto, Associate Vice President, Institutional Advancement at abarbuto@endicott.edu or 978-232-2362.

If my employer matches gifts, will that count towards the Giving Day fundraising totals?

Yes, if your employer offers a matching gift program, please make that note on the donation form.  If matches are pledged on Giving Day and fulfilled at a later date, they will still count in the Giving Day totals. If you would like to confirm if your company matches gifts, please visit this site. (Please scroll to the bottom of the page.)

Is it safe to make my gift online?

Yes, online Giving Day gifts will be made via the mobile platform, MobileCause. MobileCause is a certified PCI DSS Level 1 security provider, and adheres to the highest industry standards for data protection. The company’s comprehensive security measures include donation fraud protection, bank account security, credit card security, 2-factor authentication, blocking international user gateways, and privacy and encryption technology.

Can I split my gift and make multiple gifts?

If you would like to make multiple gifts, thank you!  Each transaction will have to be executed individually.

What is the Annual Fund?

Unrestricted Annual Fund dollars are used to support the College’s areas of greatest need, i.e. to cover the costs associated with Endicott’s day-to-day operations. The fund provides critical support to ensure the College may serve our students in the best ways possible , and also provides flexibility for the College to respond to urgent situations and new opportunities for innovation and growth.

What is the Wings Fund?

The Wings Fund makes available emergency support to students experiencing unanticipated financial hardship in times of crisis. This fund was created in the immediate aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak, when members of the community were experiencing sudden and acute financial difficulty. Gifts to the Wings Fund will help Endicott directly respond to students’ needs following the invasion of Ukraine and the global unrest it has caused.

When will I receive my Giving Day t-shirt?

A gift of any amount will allow you the opportunity to secure a limited-edition Giving Day t-shirt. As a result of the strained supply chain, Giving Day t-shirts are expected to arrive in May 2022.  We appreciate your patience and understanding.  Please make sure to include your size on the gift form when you submit your gift.  Also, please note that if you make multiple gifts, we do ask that you order one t-shirt per person as opposed to per gift.
