Kelly Fisher, PhD, RN has been appointed the dean and associate profressor in the School of Nursing since 2007. Dr Fisher holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in nursing from the University of Rhode Island, a Masters degree in nursing from Russell Sage College, and a BSN from Fitchburg State University. Dr Fisher's research in the areas of Diabetes, Critical Thinking and Active Teaching or Learning methods have been funded and articles published in the Online Journal of Nursing Informatics (OJNI), The Journal of School Nursing, and The Diabetes Educator or presented at local, regional or national conferences. Dr. Fisher is a reviewer for the Journal of Nursing and an active member of Sigma Theta Tau. Dean Fisher has obtained grants for the expansion of the simulation nursing labs, supported the growth of the RN to BS program and developed the Masters in nursing program in Administration, Education, Global Health and Family Nurse Practitioner since 2007.
