Kelsey McNiff is an associate professor of English composition at Endicott College. She received her B.A. in history from Harvard College and her M.A. and Ph.D. in history from Princeton University. In the field of composition studies, her research focuses on strategies for promoting knowledge transfer in first-year writing courses and helping students transition to college level writing. She also continues to be active in the field of history, where she specializes in the history of France during the Second World War. At Endicott, Professor McNiff primarily teaches the required first-year critical reading and writing course sequence. Prior to joining Endicott, she spent eight years on the faculty of the Harvard College Writing Program, and she has taught composition at the Harvard University Extension School, North Shore Community College, and the University of New Hampshire.
