Description

1. Coordinate college-wide marketing and communications projects, including research, client services, liaison with design staff, photographers, video, Web and media production staff and vendors.
2. Write, edit, or manage copy for the Van Loan School web pages, advertising, scripts, or other marketing materials, by collecting, organizing, and condensing information from on- and off-campus sources.
3. Assist the Associate Director in creative management, media buying, scheduling, and other administrative duties as assigned.
4. Work with Associate Director and the marketing team to achieve streamlined communications plan for proactive student recruitment and retention, including providing strategic print and online marketing counsel and implementation support. 
5. Strategize and bring ideas to the CCM team that can feed into the department’s mission and help clients promote their programs, students, alumni, and events.
6. Work with the Executive Director of Marketing Integration and VP of Communications and Marketing to create and update central marketing/communications initiatives.
7. Work with CCM leadership and colleagues to develop and execute a plan on behalf of clients that supplements the overarching digital-first search and display efforts of the VP/Media Buyer.
8. Attend internal and external school/college events to support, market, and promote various departments (such as Accepted Students Day, Homecoming, Open House, and the Van Loan School and Undergraduate College Commencements)
9. Perform other duties as needed.
 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Strong understanding of and experience with marketing techniques, preferably in a higher education setting. 
Excellent writing skills in various marketing formats.
Strong technical skills, preferably with web management systems, graphic design programs, and Excel.
Excellent organizational skills.
Able to work well independently and take initiative on new projects.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.
Commitment to excellence. 
Ability to work well with a diversity of personalities.
Must be able to work evening and weekend hours as needed and assigned; must have a car and a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and travel as assigned.
