Description

Performs duties related to repairs and projects for buildings and grounds.
 
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist in function set-ups and break-downs; 
2. Moves furniture and equipment as requested;
3. Performs grounds maintenance including planting of trees and shrubs, mowing lawns and collecting leaves;
4. Removes snow from parking lots and walkways;
5. Repairs minor problems in facilities as needed and in response to work orders.  Duties include painting, plastering and minor plumbing repairs;
6. Makes minor repairs to equipment; 
7. Performs miscellaneous assignments as directed; 
8. Pick up trash on a daily basis; 
9. Participates in the on-call policy;
10. Performs other duties as needed to achieve the goals of the department and the College.
11. Essential Personnel

Qualifications

Knowledge of day-to-day operations in a college environment; 
Ability to work overtime in response to emergency situations; 
Skills and knowledge to perform required duties; 
Flexibility necessary; 
High school diploma; 
Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds; 
Must provide proof of valid Massachusetts driver’s license and current DOT medical form annually.
Maintain valid Department of Public Safety Hoisting License.
