TitleGraduate Assistant for Ice Arena Operations and Strength and Conditioning Coach
HoursPart-Time including night and weekends, possible holidays (two year contract) 10-Month Position
Assists Director of Arena Operations in day-to-day operations of the arena. A working knowledge of managing ice facilities, scheduling, maintenance and coordination and oversight of internal and external events within the facility. Excellent customer service to all patrons; develops and maintains strong relationships with facility user groups; ensures operations equipment are in good working order at all times, and monitors building security and enforces policies and rules to ensure the safety of all guests.
These responsibilities are split between the implementation, programming, general direction and monitoring of strength and conditioning programs of our student-athletes. In collaboration with our strength and conditioning coaches and athletic trainers on staff, this person will help design and supervise the various strength programs and implementation in a safe and technically sound setting. Candidate must have the ability to think critically and problem solve along with effectively communicate with students, coaches, and other staff.
During championship events, be available for games/ride fan buses.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Recreation, Physical Education, Health Science or related field. Currently hold National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification or be willing to obtain CSCS certification prior to start date.
Acceptance into Endicott College School of Graduate & Professional Studies.
CPR and First Aid Certification required.
