Description

The Executive Communications Manager coordinates and develops the external communications of the Endicott College executive team under the direction of the Vice President of Communications and Marketing. Duties include researching and writing a range of communications including speeches, written statements, presentations, press releases, internal news articles, op-eds, video scripts, talking points, and professional correspondence as assigned. The manager advances an integrated strategic communications framework that supports the College’s goals.  Responsibilities include:
1. Responsible for coordinating and developing assigned communications and projects for Endicott College executives.
2. Develop and produce content to engage and educate identified audience(s) 
3. Assist in managing executive social media activities across multiple channels
4. Manage the content maintenance of the President and Provost websites
5. Assist in managing and driving executive events including developing invitations
6. Identify college or academic program story opportunities
7. Proofread and coordinate the production of assigned communications materials

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 3 to 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. 
Project management experience and ability to manage various concurrent projects. 
Understanding of all communications strategies and platforms.
Understanding of issues surrounding higher education. 
Knowledge of principles and practices of public communications, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, superior listening skills, ability to ask the right questions.
Demonstrated ability to independently translate complex material into clear, accurate, lively, straightforward, error-free prose under deadline pressure.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment under high-pressure circumstances.
Experience interviewing, coaching, and analyzing senior leaders on communication delivery.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working for an educational institution.
