Description

Responsibilities include: 
Acting as section leader in full chorus rehearsals, usually 1 rehearsal/week;
Leading small men's ensemble (pop, a cappella, barbershop, and some traditional rep - usually 1 rehearsal/week, same day as full chorus;
Some administrative duties such as contacting students, keeping rosters, writing program notes;
Opportunities exist for other choir conducting, private voice teaching, choral arranging, working with full choir for additional compensation.

The Endicott Singers are a chorus of dedicated non-majors with commitment to singing well in many styles. Recent concerts have included Carmina Burana, Contemporary Gospel, Pop, Swing, Purcell, and more. Plans for 2019-20 season include works by Caroline Shaw and local composer commissions. Compensation commensurate with experience

 

Qualifications

Perfect position for recent grad or graduate student in Music Education, Voice, Vocal Pedagogy, or Choral Conducting. 
Successful candidate will have the following qualities/skills: charisma, recruiting, basic piano, healthy singing tone, ability to blend with ensemble, love of teaching, strong leadership, love of wide variety of choral and music genres.
Own car preferred, but public transport/Zipcar possibilities available.
