  1. Performs all supervisory duties for the School of Hospitality Management, including faculty/staff recruitment, oversight, and evaluations; curriculum development and implementation; marketing, and student recruitment and retention;
  2. Provides leadership and an entrepreneurial approach in developing curriculum and programs in keeping with employment trends, industry needs, and student career goals
  3. Markets the hospitality and hotel majors and recruits students in conjunction with the office of admission;
  4. Integrates the academic programs with the Wylie Conference Center into an effective applied learning environment;
  5. Develops and maintains partnerships within the hospitality and hotel industries and with professional organizations nationally and globally;
  6. Works with the hospitality internship coordinator and the Internship and Career Center in identifying and developing robust and relevant internship and career opportunities for students nationally and globally;
  7. Creates and promotes short- and long-term study abroad options for students in conjunction with the Office of International Education;
  8. Maintains a comprehensive assessment program for the hospitality and hotel majors; ensures that the curriculum addresses student learning outcomes and accreditation standards established by the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges;
  9. Supervises the Operational Manager of La Chanterelle to ensure that the service program remains integral to the academic curriculum and provides outreach to the greater community;
  10. Prepares and manages budgets for the School of Hospitality;
  11. Responds promptly to student/parent inquiries related to the school, curriculum, faculty, and/or instruction;
  12. Teaches up to two courses each semester; serves on Deans Council
  13. Performs other duties as required to meet the goals of the school and the College.


  • Doctorate in hospitality and/or hotel management preferred
  • Management experience in the hospitality and hotel industry, preferably both nationally and globally
  • College level teaching and administrative/supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial in approach to new initiatives and challenges
  • Collaborative management style
