Coordinates and manages Sport Management Program; performs all supervisory duties; manages department budget; schedules classes; resolves problems; teaches courses; advises students, and maintains Program accreditations and approvals. 
Responsibilities include:
1. Provides academic leadership by promoting communication, faculty development, and conducting departmental meetings.
2. Promotes curriculum and instructional development, modification and evaluation.
3. Assists Admissions Office in planning and meeting enrollment targets and recruitment activities.
4. Assists the Registrar in resolving student inquiries related to departmental curriculum and instruction.
5. Performs all supervisory duties, including recruiting, orientation, record keeping, evaluations, and participation in grievance procedures.  Establishes faculty and staff teaching assignments and loads.
6. Collects course syllabi for each course annually and forwards for review.
7. Assists in management of Program budget.
8. Advises students in the Sport Management Program.
9. Participates in registration to supervise adherence to program requirements and course sequences, monitors class size, and resolves student problems.
10. Teaches a course load consistent with chair positions.
11. Completes annual reports. 
12. Manages program assessment and the COSMA accreditation process. 


Preferred Earned doctorate in Sport Management

Prior college level teaching experience

Prior supervisory experience

Knowledge of COSMA Accreditation Standards

Demonstrated ability to develop policies and procedures, organize, and lead
