Description

Seeking a dynamic colleague to join a student-centered department offering new undergraduate engineering programs. Will teach a variety of courses, advise and help to build internship opportunities for students in industry, participate in school and college-wide service, and engage in collaborative research and design projects with undergraduates. 
 
1. Teaches four courses or equivalent per semester;
2. Advises up to 25 students;
3. Mentors students;
4. Engages in scholarship, resulting in enrichment of teaching abilities and enhancement of knowledge base in the subject.  Evidence of ongoing scholarly activities (written works, research, etc.) expected.
5. Actively pursues professional and/or academic scholarship;
6. Provides service to the Department, School and the College;
7. Actively participates in relevant professional organizations;
8. Performs other duties as required and as allowed by the ECFA-Endicott Contract.

Qualifications

Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
Teaching experience;
Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team that can attract students and develop relevant programs; 
Ability to teach courses in CAD and mechanical systems; 
Professional engineering experience; 
Eagerness to develop curriculum that leverages our expanding makerspace capabilities are highly valued.
