This is an entry level position that will report to the Accounts Payable Manager. This position will be responsible for performing accounts payable processes and other duties assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager. 

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in weekly payment processes.
Reviewing invoices for accuracy and matching with packing slips/purchase orders to verify receipt of goods or service – familiarity with three-way matching process.
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
Verify invoices, reimbursements and check requests have appropriate coding and approval for posting to Jenzabar CX/CARS system.
Inputting vendor invoice data & documents into our electronic payment system.
Prepare checks for weekly disbursement and mailing.
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department and the College.
 

Qualifications

Three years of recent relevant experience
Proficiency in automated payables system, MS Excel, Word
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Sharp attention to detail 
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work effectively with staff, students and administration
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in-writing
Bachelor’s degree preferred
