Emma Hamilton grew up in Washington, D.C. She has B.A. in English from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in Comparative Literature from New York University where she is currently a Ph.D. A.B.D. Her dissertation is on Soviet and Italian film. She has taught literature, film, and humanities courses at NYU and Barnard. In addition to her scholarly work, Emma`s writing has been published in Words Without Borders, American Photo Magazine online, and BUST.
