Department Overview

Every trade is represented in Physical Plant – plumbing, heating and air conditioning, electrical, carpentry, painting, automotive, landscape design, grounds, maintenance, and custodial – and when winter hits hard, it’s all hands on deck for snow removal.

Sustainability Practices

Named by Princeton Review as one of North America’s greenest campuses, Endicott incorporates environmentally sound practices into all aspects of campus operations. The Office of Sustainability is physically located in the Physical Plant building and supports the College's effort to incorporate sustainability into our students’ academic and residential experience.

Building Construction and Maintenance

As a full-service department, Physical Plant is involved in the planning, design, and construction of new buildings and renovations on campus, along with the maintenance of more than one million square feet of space in buildings and properties that range from small, antique houses to cutting edge science and art centers.

Landscape Design and Grounds Keeping

Our landscape designer and grounds crew maintain more than 235 acres on our oceanfront campus, including extensive gardens and plantings. They also facilitate campus events.

Custodial Services

The housekeeping and custodial staffs support the College’s residential, academic, administrative, and athletic buildings.

Work Orders

To request services from Physical Plant, Endicott community members may submit an online Work Order, detailing the job, service, and/or repair that needs to be done. Students requesting service should contact their residence directors, who then submit the order. Staff and faculty should ask the designated person from their department to submit the order.

Our Commitment

Each member of the Physical Plant team is a committed and dedicated member of the community, providing superior and experienced customer service to students, faculty, and staff in a prompt, professional manner.
