On-Campus Programs

Endicott College offers many on campus opportunities for students to develop greater understanding of other cultures.  These opportunities afford Endicott students a chance to become familiar with other cultures prior to a study abroad experience, or provide an alternative to study abroad. Explore the opportunities we have on campus!

Upcoming Events

The School of International Education organizes and co-sponsors numerous events during the academic year.  Please check the campus Events Calendar regularly for new activities.

Peer Mentor Program

The International Peer Mentor Program is a student mentoring program for international students during their first year at Endicott.

Peer mentors help new international students make the transition to American college life by writing to them before they arrive and getting to know them, welcoming them in person at the airport, and by helping them move into their rooms, choose classes, and become familiar with the campus.

International mentors arrive on campus 3 days before the start of classes and assist students on a daily basis during Orientation and the first weekend on campus.  After the busy first week of classes, the time commitment averages 2 hours per week as mentors and new students explore the many social and cultural opportunities of the Boston area.

International Friendship Program

Through the International Friendship Program, international students are matched with local families or community members with similar interest.  The program provides students with an opportunity to experience everyday life in the U.S. by participating in activities with their Endicott friends.  Preparing dinner, going to the movies, or taking a walk together are some of the ways students see American culture outside of the college. In return, their local friends have the opportunity to learn about another culture.

The School of International Education matches interested new students with Endicott community members at the beginning of each semester.  From more information about the program and how to get involved, contact our office.
