Diane S. Ferguson, MSN, RN is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Endicott College, supporting several levels of the nursing program through course lectures and the development of simulation scenarios and skills clinics for nursing students to practice patient care. She earned her BSN degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and her MSN in Nursing Education from Walden University. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. Diane’s clinical experience includes work in medical-surgical units, psychiatry, maternal-newborn nursing, pediatrics, and work as a sexual assault forensic examiner or S.A.F.E. She, especially, focuses on environmental health, and has been a member of PA Nurses Association environmental health committee, and the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments, teaching and working on the development of environmental health awareness in governmental legislation and nursing education.
Currently working on writing a chapter on heavy metals and their health effects for an online free-commons environmental health nursing text.
Also in the midst of writing a textbook called, "Environment & Health in the 21st Century" with Dr. Kelly Fisher. Publishing contract in hand.
