Dr. William Samenfink, Dean and Professor of the School of Hospitality, has spent ten years in Europe running free standing hospitality programs. During this time, he was investigating the international hospitality educational environment. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. After working with a major chain restaurant, he completed an M.B.A. degree from Washington State University. He received his Ph.D. from Washington State University in Educational Administration. He has many published articles in scholarly hospitality journals both domestically and internationally. In addition, he has given many presentations at academic conferences in and outside the United States. He serves on the Board of Directors for EuroCHRIE a federation of the International Council of Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Educators (I-CHRIE). He is also a Fellow in the Hotel and Catering International Management Association (HCIMA). In addition, he hold memberships in many hospitality organizations.
