|Title:||Chair, Physical Education/Exercise Science|
|Description:||1. Responsible for managing the Physical Education Teacher Licensure and Exercise Science degree programs and the Exercise Science minor; 2. Develop and implement marketing plans for the both majors; 3. Recruit prospective students and participates in Admission activities; 4. Advise and mentor students; 5. Develop course of study (schedule of courses) for Physical Education and Exercise Science programs; 6. Develop and implement curricular reviews and adjustments; 7. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate full-time and adjunct faculty; 8. Manage regular department meetings and assist with department budget; 9. Teach two courses per semester; 10. Work with Field Placement Coordinator on student practicum placement for physical Education students; 11. Oversee internship placement for Exercise Science students; 12. Oversee and writes relevant Physical Education reports, and co-hosts accreditation visits; 13. Actively pursue professional academic scholarship; 14. Participate in relevant professional organizations; 15. Participate on School and College committees; 16. Attend prospective student events and fairs to promote the Admissions Office processes; 17. Respond to student and parent inquiries relating to faculty, curriculum, and instruction; 18. Performs other duties as assigned.|
|Qualifications:||Earned doctorate preferred in related field. Prior college level teaching experience. Ability to provide a sense of vision for the growth of the Physical Education and Exercise Science Programs. Significant professional practice experience or scholarship and research. Experience with DESE approval processes and procedures. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.|
