Head Men's Basketball Coach/Contest Management Coordinator/Student Affairs Liaison
Responsible for all areas of the Men’s Basketball program, including an expectation and adherence of NCAA Division III principles, Endicott College mission statement and athletic philosophy; creating a team atmosphere for coaches, players and supporters that fosters mutual respect for preparation and enjoyment of competition, and maintaining an appropriate role in the total development of the student-athlete. Recruits qualified student athletes; selects team appropriately, recommends an Assistant Coach; plans practices and games, raises funds and provides team related sport information as necessary.
Monitors academic progress of team members.
Acts as Contest Management Coordinator, including pre and post-game set up and breakdown; the planning, supervision, and coordination of tailgating and or crowd control at home events; working closely to insure proper hiring and training of student workers for all home games.
Student Affairs Liaison: Collaborate with key personnel in the Student Affairs office to leverage community involvement and insure synergy and collaboration between both departments.
Communicates effectively with players, peers, parents, Endicott Community and media outlets.
Actively participates in extra-curricular activities on campus.
Performs other duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Athletic Department and the College.
Must have a Bachelor degree with a Master degree preferred
Playing experience beyond high school
1 – 5 years of college coaching experience
Must have knowledge of computer software applications
Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and writing skills
Must be able to work weekends and evenings as necessary
