1. Responsible for managing the MSN in Administration and Education degree programs;
2. Develop and implement marketing plans for the degree program;
3. Recruit prospective students;
4. Participate in admission review;
5. Advise and mentor the graduate students;
6. Develop course of study for graduate nursing programs;
7. Create and maintain a graduate student manual;
8. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate adjunct faculty;
9. Collaborate with Dean, School of Nursing, on curricular and administrative matters;
10. Oversee and write graduate NLNAC report, and co-host NLNAC accreditation visit;
11. Participate in ongoing program evaluations for MSN curriculum;
12. Participate on School and College committees;
13. Actively participate in relevant professional organizations;
14. Write grants for external funding;
15. Participate in the NLNAC or CCNE accreditation processes;
16. Approve internship agencies, oversee student compliance with state and local regulations, and maintain agreements with agencies;
17. Consult with students on appropriate selection and requirements for graduate internship sites, completion of internship packets, synthesis papers and e-portfolio;
18. Verify student compliance with state and local insurance and health regulations for internship sites;
19. Verify criminal background checks completed and clears students for enrollment in internship;
20. Provide guidance in the development of honors and other student recognition programs;
21. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Doctorate required;
• Ability to instruct advance graduate level courses;
• Significant experience working with adult students in a higher education setting;
• Prior administrative experience;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Significant scholarship and research and/or professional practice experience.
