Biographical Profile
David earned his doctorate in Rhetoric and Composition from Ball State University in July 2011. He has a M.A. in English from Southern Connecticut State University, where he was also a Graduate Research Fellow, and a B.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Maine at Farmington. David has taught numerous courses in writing, rhetoric, and research at Southern Connecticut State University and Ball State University, as well as designed courses in the History of Women’s Writing and Rhetoric and Writing for the Digital Age. In addition, David has tutored writing across the disciplines, presented at national and regional conferences, and has published several poems and short stories in print and online literary journals. He currently has a book chapter under review on the use of activity theory in writing pedagogy. David tutors in the Writing Center alongside the other Professional and Peer Writing Tutors.
