Biographical Profile

David earned his doctorate in Rhetoric and Composition from Ball State University in July 2011.  He has a M.A. in English from Southern Connecticut State University, where he was also a Graduate Research Fellow, and a B.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Maine at Farmington.  David has taught numerous courses in writing, rhetoric, and research at Southern Connecticut State University, Ball State University, and Endicott College, as well as designed courses in the History of Writing and Rhetoric and Digital Writing.  In addition, David has tutored writing across the disciplines, presented at national and regional conferences, and has published several poems and short stories in print and online literary journals.  He is currently working on an article on the use of activity theory in peer tutor assessment.  David tutors in the Writing Center alongside the other Professional and Peer Writing Tutors.  He can be reached by phone at (978) 232 - 2237 or by e-mail at ddisarro@endicott.edu.
