Dr. Burdick earned his Ph.D. in U.S. History and American Studies from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1999. He worked as a faculty consultant in matters of teaching and learning at three campuses before coming to Endicott. He was an instructional consultant at Indiana University, then an instructional design specialist at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI), and then Assistant Director of Faculty Development Programs at Michigan State University. He has served as an AQIP annual reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission and is the historian for the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network in Higher Education. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for POD.
Dr. Burdick is currently working on an oral history of faculty development through a grant from the POD Network.
