Endicott College Media Experts Guide

Abigail Bottome, Internship Coordinator
Internship

Dr. Abigail Bottome first came to Endicott twenty years ago.  She brings to her current role as Internship Coordinator many years of experience in higher education, non-profit program management, and writing.  At Endicott she has taught journalism and public relations courses and was formerly Director of Development at the College. 

As both a student and adjunct faculty, Dr. Bottome was involved in the development of the first non-resident Master of Arts Program in the country.  Over many years she has established a strong commitment to life-long learning and field-based experiential education.  She recently completed her Ph.D. in non-fiction creative writing.  Her dissertation, “Walking in Great Marsh,” explores the impact of human development on coastal salt marsh areas.  As a member of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment (ASLE), Dr. Bottome has particular interest in poetry and essay writing that focuses on the natural world.  She is also a member of the National Society for Experiential Education (NSEE), the Cooperative Education and Internship Association (CEIA), and the Board of Directors of Boston Camerata.

Abigail Bottome's area of expertise includes: non-fiction creative writing, coastal New England salt marshes, lifelong learning, experiential education.
