Kent Barclay, Associate Dean of Academic Technology

Kent Barclay is the Associate Dean of Academic Technology at Endicott College. In that role, he promotes and oversees the use and support of technology in the classroom. Part of his responsibilities include the oversight of the computer labs, academic software license management, mediated classrooms, media services and digital media center, laptop program, technology training and the campus web based learning management system and portal (GullNet). He works closely with faculty and Deans to integrate technology into the curriculum.
    
Mr. Barclay has a BA in Communications from the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst and an MEd in Organizational Management from Endicott College, where the title of his master’s thesis was “Reasons and Methods for Implementing Distance Learning Programs in Higher Education”. He has worked in academic technology and media for over 15 years, at Bradford College and Emerson College prior to his arrival at Endicott in 2000. Prior to his years in higher education, Mr. Barclay worked as a professional videographer, producer, director and editor with his own video production company in Boston.
