EKSTROEM, (Sigrid) Margareta

Birth date: 1930
Birthplace: Stockholm, Sweden
Education: Received a B.A. from the University of Stockholm in 1958.
Professional Career: Ekstroem was a literary critic from 1961-83 and a journalist for Sydsv Dagbladet in Malmo, Sweden from 1974-82. She is also a member of the International PEN and was the vice-president of the Swedish PEN from 1968-81.

GALE, Vi

Birth date:
Birthplace: Noret, Dala-Jarna, Sweden
Education: Attended various literature courses at the University of Colorado, Portland State University,  Lewis and Clark College, and the University of Oregon.
Professional Career: Gale is a free-lance writer and has been the Director of creative writing workshops at the Young Women's Christian Association in Portland, Oregon since 1962. She is also the editor and publisher of the Prescott Street Press. She won the Oregon Poetry Prize  in 1954 and the Swallow Press New Poetry Series Award in 1958. She was the writer-in-residence at Eastern Oregon College in Le Grande in 1968, and Captsop Community College in Astoria in 1969.

BJOERK, Christina

Education:
Professional Career: Bjoerk is a journalist, educator and writer who is a member of the Swedish Authors Union, Swedish Journalists Union, and the Swedish Publicists Club. She won the Swedish Authors Union scholarship for travel in 1975.
