She was a staff member of the Library of Law at the Library of Congress in
Washington from 1940-45. She was also a member of the legal staff of the Light
& Power Co. in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 1947-48, the Bureau of Foreign
and Domestic Commerce from 1951-53, and the International Bank for
Reconstruction and Development from 1954-73. Along with Muriel Crawford, Barbara
Grier, and Donna McBride, she co-founded Naiad Press in 1974 and A&M Books in
1995.
