Endicott's Chapter of Collegiate DECA Looks Forward to Another Successful Year
BEVERLY, MA – Endicott’s Collegiate DECA chapter is preparing for another successful academic year. The club will be participating in the Walk for Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston on Sunday, September 22, 2013. The event is an inspirational 3-mile walk that honors lives, courage, and memories of loved ones lost and raises funds to provide hospice care to those in need throughout the North Shore and Greater Boston communities.
DECA plans on participating in local professional development days and competitions at Bay State College and Johnson & Wales University as well as hosting their own competition at Endicott College. In addition, the club intends to send a team of students to this year’s International Career Development Conference in Washington D.C. in hopes to repeat last year’s success.
This past April, DECA sent 10 students to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Anaheim, CA to compete in various business case-study events. All competitors finished in the top 10 of their event and nine competitors made it the final round of competition. In addition to the individual results, the chapter received the Leadership Passport Award; awarded to chapters that demonstrate competence, innovation, integrity and team work.
