Summer Break Information/Closing Information

PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES AS YOU PREPARE TO VACATE YOUR ROOM:

As you begin to prepare for the summer, please be aware that All Endicott College Residence Halls close on May 20, 2013 at 7PM.  You must check out by that time if you are not a graduating senior. All students are required to check out within 24 hours after their last exam or by 7pm on May 20th, whichever comes first.

24 HOUR. QUIET HOURS and NO GUEST POLICY begin in all Residence Halls Tuesday, May 13th at 10PM and is in effect until the halls close on May 20th.

Only the students participating in the 2013 Commencement Exercises and have purchased senior week tickets will be permitted to remain on campus until graduation, May 24th at 5pm.  Graduating students should begin the process of moving out prior to graduation day and should have all non-essential belongings out prior to their last exam.  This is to help you and your family enjoy graduation day.

Pack and remove all personal belongings from walls, drawers, and closets too! This includes personal furniture, personal shower curtains, etc. NOTE: Belongings left behind will be disposed of after all students have departed campus.

CLEAN and SWEEP OUT YOUR ROOM!  You are expected to leave your room in a neat and clean condition.  This includes floors, walls, doors, and furniture.  You will be charged a fee for any extra cleaning done by the Physical Plant Department.  No painting is permitted.  Students with writing and/or paint on the walls will be billed accordingly.

Empty all trash into proper receptacles.  DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN THE HALLWAY OR STAIRWELLS.

Close and lock all windows, pull shades down, close blinds, turn off all lights, heat, and A/C.

Be sure to have your Resident Assistant or Residence Director check your room and complete your Room Condition Report while you are present.  Once you are certain that all the information on the sheet is correct, sign your name.  This process is important because the inspection sheets are used to determine damage charges. Failure to properly check out with your RD or RA will result in the loss of your right to dispute damage charges assessed by the Residence Life Staff and Physical Plant, as well as an additional $25 fine. Please note that final damage billing will be completed after rooms are completely empty. Final bills will be assessed on May 22nd. Being checked out does not guarantee a $0 damage bill.

Lock your door and hand your keys to a Residence Life member when you sign the Room Condition Report.
