The Endicott College Community Service Program finished off another great year of making a significant impact in several neighborhoods, locally, and nationally. In total, Endicott students, faculty, and staff contributed approximately 14,187 hours of Community Service. 1,205 students volunteered their time to many local organizations such as the Open Door Food Pantry, North Shore ARC and Beverly Bootstraps to name a few. In addition, students worked to raise money for Alternative Spring Break. Endicott College partnered with Rebuilding Together New Orleans to provide students the opportunity to volunteer their labor and enthusiasm in helping to rebuild in areas still recovering from Hurricane Katrina. The Endicott Community came together after the devastation in Haiti to show their support and raise over $1,200, which was matched, for relief efforts. Nearly 600 first year students, through EC 101, participated in service projects with over a dozen area organizations. Relay For Life saw its largest turnout ever with 33 teams raising over $34,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Lastly, Endicott's commitment to Community Service was also recognized by the Corporation for National and Community Service being named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor roll for the second year in a row.
