Center for Oral History

Mission Statement

Founded in 2007, the mission of the Endicott Center for Oral History is to promote and facilitate the collection, preservation, and analysis of interview based research and related audio projects by educating students, faculty and community members in the methods, protocols and professional and ethical standards of oral history. It provides methodological and technical assistance; workshops, consultation, and collaboration; orientation and networks to local archives and resources; and access to a community of scholars and professional associations. Portable audio recording equipment and on-site recording facilities are available. While the focus of the center is on students research and the greater North Shore community, the Endicott Center for Oral History maintains institutional affiliation with Oral History centers across the country and around the world.
